Bread and Cakes – The Lingholm Bakery

All our cakes, pastries and artisan breads are made here on the Estate in the Lingholm Bakery under the supervision of our master bakers Danny and Sharon.

 

Coffee, tea – Carvetii, Embleton

Carvetii sources small batches of fresh crop coffees from around the world, and roast them to order at their roastery in Embleton near Cockermouth. They have a constantly changing range of roasted coffee, making the most of the seasonal harvests around the world. As well as their espresso blend they offer a range of ‘single origin coffees’, which are suitable for filter brewing.

 

Milk, free range eggs – All our eggs are free range from A F Elliott , Glen Hush Farm, Skelton, Penrith and the milk we use is from Roger Binks, Ross House, Penruddock.

 

Sausage, Bacon, Ham – Eden Valley Meat Co., Penrith  

A Speciality Butcher sourcing top quality meat from Cumbria and the surrounding area. They are also a Game specialist and a licensed venison cutting plant.

 

Smoked chicken, duck, pepper pot sausage – Eden Valley Smokehouse, Penrith

An Artisan Smokehouse nestled in the Eden Valley, producing Traditional Smoked Food using recipes passed down through generations.

 

Jams, marmalade, chutneys – Claire’s Handmade, Wigton

Claire’s Handmade is a small food producer based in Cumbria, on the outskirts of the English Lake District. They spend hours in their kitchen developing new recipes and working with marvellous ingredients and flavours to make their award winning preserves. All their sweet and savoury condiments are made using simple natural ingredients.  They are made by hand, using traditional processes as you would at home.

 

Ice cream – English Lakes Ice Cream, Kendal

English Lakes Ice Cream has been established for over 20 years. Based in the heart of the Lake District, the business is run and owned by husband and wife team Peter and Frances Fryer. It is a deep passion for supreme traditional ice cream that results in a taste sensation that is as distinct as the Lakeland hills.

 

Cheese – Appleby Creamery, Appleby

Our cheddar cheese comes from Appleby Creamery, a traditional small artisan producer creating a range of award winning locally inspired cheeses from time honoured Cumbrian recipes. Their passion and consideration in producing handmade cheeses from locally gathered Cumbrian milk ensures quality is never compromised and the distinction of which is unique in flavour.

 

Smoked meat – Taste of the Lakes Ltd., Maryport

Taste of the Lakes are a family firm, artisan smokehouse and makers of fine quality sausages and dry cured bacons. They specialize in the old Smokehouse smoked meats and fish, with raw materials from local sources, and producing traditional Cumberland Sausage. Taste of the lakes take great pride in what they produce and have over 40 medals that they have won over the years at the Great taste Awards.

 

The Lingholm Walled Garden – Vegetables, Herbs and Fruit grown in the Walled Garden are served seasonally with our salads and soups, and used in our recipe’s wherever possible.
